Clean agricultural and horticultural plastics can be delivered to the Vernon County Recycling Facility for FREE. |
Includes: |
- All film plastics (silage bags, bunker covers, peat moss bags, super sacks, shrink wrap, plastic bags, etc.
- Please use plastic twine if you tie the film plastic into bundles. Many farmers use outdated horse trailers to store and deliver plastics to the Recycling Facility.
- Rigid plastics (cleaner buckets and barrels up to 55 gallon, landscaping pots and trays, fertilizer and pesticide containers, etc.)
Ag plastic cannot be accepted in our Basic Household Recycling Collection program. However, we will consider a one-day Ag plastic collection in outlying areas of Vernon County if we get requests from town boards.
These plastics can be made into sign and guardrail posts, tool handles, automotive components, flooring, pallets, and garbage bags.
PVC plastic and oil container plastics are not acceptable. |
Keep the air as clean as your fields!
DON’T BURN AG PLASTICS.
Burning Ag plastics cause air pollution and is illegal. Toxic chemicals from the smoke can harm your family’s health and your livestock and contaminate the soil. |
