Recycling Guide

Print Recycle Guide

Please separate materials as indicated on this page.  Recyclables that are not properly prepared or separated will be refused at the Vernon County collection sites.  Each material collected for recycling has a very specific market that requires quality control to make it marketable.

If caps are left on glass or plastic bottles or if some low grade mixed paper or magazines are included in a bundle of newspaper these materials become garbage because we cannot sell it.

Vernon County remains totally committed to Recycling and you have our unconditional guarantee that when you place properly prepared and sorted materials into our Recycling Collection System they will not be land filled.  Recycling benefits everyone!  Your individual efforts will carry us long term without the need of county tax dollars.

Please do not send unacceptable materials for recycling. Prepare as indicated.
