All waste collection service contracts in Vernon County should contain the following language:
All garbage shall be transported directly to and disposed of in the Vernon County Sanitary Landfill in accordance with all Federal/State/Vernon County law and ordinances.

By doing this you will: |

Be supporting the comprehensive services of the Vernon County Solid Waste/Recycling Programs.
|
|
|
B. |
Not allow your waste to be commingled with waste from industrial areas outside of Vernon County.
|
|
|
C. |
Not share the liability of a large private landfill outside of Vernon County (you are liable for your waste forever).
|
|
|
|
Not end up paying double for the same service (once on taxes and once with monthly service bill).
|
|
|
|
Ensure the public health and environment of Vernon County for future generations.
|
|
|
F. |
Be protected from the liability associated with the generation and disposal of waste with cash reserves held in escrow out of County control. |
|
|
G. |
Be sure that your waste is being processed by trained Wisconsin Certified Landfill Operators. |
